Carol Jones (She/Her)

In 2020 Carol completed her Master of Clinical Physiotherapy degree in Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapy through Curtin University in Perth. This degree included research in persistent pelvic pain. In 2022 Carol was granted membership to the Australian College of Physiotherapists, and is an APA Titled Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapist.

Previously, Carol graduated from Newcastle University with a Bachelor Physiotherapy (honours) in 2010. She started her new graduate year in the acute care setting, working in ICU with post operative and respiratory patients, and on the orthopaedic and neurological wards at Wyong Hospital and Gosford Hospitals. In the following years she gained experience in the outpatients department plus on the geriatric and general rehab wards, cardio-respiratory and complex medical wards in both public and private hospitals.

Prior to Physiotherapy, Carol’s professional life included remedial massage therapy, working in association with sports trainers on amateur athletes, as well as treating clients with musculoskeletal and chronic pain issues. She also worked for several years for the Education Department at Hunter River Community School (Special Ed.) in Maitland, with children and teenagers with physical, emotional and learning disabilities. Here she helped create and implement adapted language and communication programs, assisted cognitive and social development, and facilitated physical therapy programs.

Carol’s spare time is spent gardening, renovating her house, time with her family, and ongoing self-education.
