Carol Jones (She/Her)
Carol is an APA Titled Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapist, having completed her Masters’ of Clinical Physiotherapy through Curtin University in Perth. This Masters’ study included research in persistent pelvic pain, and co-authorship of The Development and Validation of the Fremantle Perineal Awareness Questionnaire (FrePAQ). This research paper was published in the Journal of Women’s & Pelvic Health Physical Therapy in 2024.
Carol has 15 years experience as a Physiotherapist, having graduated from Newcastle University with a Bachelor Physiotherapy (honours). Before specialising in continence and pelvic health, she gained a sound background working in acute care settings with post operative, cardiac and respiratory patients, plus heading up a Rehab Physio team for orthopaedic, neurological and mental health patients. |

Carol has been invited to present her research papers at the Australian Physiotherapy Association national conference in Brisbane, and at the Critical Care conference, in the Hunter Valley. She has been interviewed on ABC Newcastle about pelvic physiotherapy for bladder and bowel issues and has tutored upcoming continence physiotherapists for APA NSW.
Prior to Physiotherapy, Carol worked for several years for the Education Department with children and teenagers with physical, emotional and learning disabilities. Here she helped create and implement adapted language and communication programs, assisted cognitive and social development, and facilitated physical therapy programs.
