Being active is important at all ages, the World Health Organisation guidelines (infographic above) encourage us all to be moving our bodies regularly to help minimise chronic disease processes. Decreased physical activity is one of the leading risk factors for mortality. People who are insufficiently active have a 20% to 30% increased risk of serious health conditions compared to people who are sufficiently active (WHO – 2020). If you are limiting your exercise due to issues with your pelvic floor such as leaking, prolapse or pain or you aren’t sure what exercise is appropriate for you then we can help.
